Intrigued by a post on Bruce Sterling’s blog I checked out savethetextsavethewords.

It seems to be a ARG-style viral campaign to build buzz for the launch of bright.ly 2.0. Full of cool YouTube vidz and Flickr photos.

The brightly website’s one of the best I’ve seen in ages. They explain their take on media today in this video:

In today’s YouTube world, that’s only accelerated.

Apple just give you a sexy glimpse of some object that looks like it’s from the future.

Whereas, our lord and master Google seem to do zero promo work on their new products. Just trickling it out to a sub-set of user’s, who’ll happily shout all about it to their peerz.

Versus the legion of peepz who’ve been frakked over by years of shoddy M$FT cruft. It’s just yawn.
